Keegan struggles with pain from NF every day. Leading up to his B Happy trip, he had to undergo a re-do spinal surgery to fix issues in his back. His was struggling physically and emotionally with this procedure. From his referrer, “He is such a brave young man. His mom, Sunshine, is always by his side and suffers right with him. This family definitely needs something awesome to look forward to.”
And awesome they got! Keegan and his family traveled from Florida to snowy Colorado for a week of winter wonderland-ing. They went snowmobiling and snow tubing and explored the beautiful views from gondolas. They also got a chance to cook their own dinner at Minturn Country Club and have a fondue night at home.
What was your favorite activity?
It’s hard to pick just one activity. They all had their highlights. If I had to pick one I would have to pick the snowmobiling. The combination of cruising across the mountain while taking in the breathtaking view was truly unforgettable.
What did this B Happy trip mean to you and your family?
This B Happy Family trip gave us the opportunity to get away from the stress of daily reminders of my condition. Our host, Kim was wonderful. She was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and fun. We are so grateful she was chosen to be our host. We met as strangers and left as friends. We are going to miss Kim and the breathing views of Colorado. I am so grateful and blessed to have been referred for the B Happy trip. Brandon’s legacy of B the Difference has had a loving impact on me and my family.
