"This was my first time attending an NF Summit and one of the first advocacy/connection/education events I've ever attended. The scholarship helped me with the costs of the entire program as at the time of the registration being open, I was unfortunately laid off from my job and unable to afford the costs of attending the NF Summit in its entirety.

My experience at the NF Summit was amazing and extremely positive. I made new friendships with people affected by NF1 in my age bracket. I previously felt very alone since it's not often you can talk face-to-face with someone with NF1. Forming these relationships helped me know I'm not the only one with NF. I also connected with the Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation, which connected me even further with local events in Dallas and future advocacy efforts in Washington, DC. I would love to attend the summit again, as it is an amazing networking and education event for NF1 patients everywhere."
