Kyle Krawchyk

“Kyle has seen numerous doctors since birth, and his diagnosis of NF1. He was also diagnosed with autism at age 3. Kyle has tumors down his entire spinal cord and spots on his brain that haven’t been monitored closely for the last few years with MRIs. He has dystrophic scoliosis and has worn back braces since age 1 to help keep his curve stable. Unfortunately, the braces no longer help, which is why he has to have spinal fusion surgery and 2 rods placed alongside his spine.

Kyle has a large plexiform neurofibroma on his back, and we are currently looking into the medication available to see if it can shrink it a bit. He has worn a leg brace since age one because his leg bows. Kyle has had many years of PT, OT, and speech therapies to help him with many things, and he continues to receive them all except PT in school. He has a lot of internal fibromas, and more are starting to pop up on his body, which makes him self-conscious and depressed at times.” Kyle had to receive spinal surgery, which B Kind helped cover.
